You spoke, and your desire has been fulfilled. This Summer of 2025, there will be another Raaga Night Series, with each performance offering fresh and exciting content. Prepare for an unforgettable evening brimming with excitement, featuring an hour-long spectacular showcasing a variety of performances, from live sitar and singing to dancing, all presented by Dr. Meena!
Allow us to introduce this extraordinary artist, who has joyfully chosen Kentucky as her home and is excited to share her love for music with her cherished city. Prepare to dance and dive into a blend of innovative styles, rhythms, and unique techniques, including storytelling conveyed through hand gestures and body postures. The concert will feature music from a variety of Indian genres and languages.
Feel free to don your favorite outfit and jewelry, but wearing Indian attire would be wonderful! Prepare yourself for an amazing experience! This event is family-friendly. Tickets are available HERE for $20 per person, and children under 10 can attend for free.
More about the Artist... Meena hails from a highly talented musical family. She learned music from her father, Sediq (a doctor, professional harmonium player, and singer), and her brother, Sabawoon (a maestro of the Afghan rubab, santoor, and piano). Her academic excellence, passion, profound love for music, and extensive study of Pashto and Hindustani classical music have enabled her to master one of the world's most intricate instruments, the sitar, known for its "iconic sound" in the Eastern world, particularly in the Indian Subcontinent. Alongside the techniques of her gurus, she has nurtured and developed her own distinctive style of playing over the years. Her remarkable hand and finger dexterity is showcased in her delicate, unique, and impressive sonic embellishments, allowing her to gracefully oscillate and glide between notes with celestial finesse. The evening will kick off with her original melodies, created from her personal repertoire, followed by a selection of others as she beautifully complements their work.
Her live concerts exude a peaceful and calming ambiance. In her home studio, she delights in improvisation and creating beautiful sitar covers of her favorite composers that resonate with diverse audiences. Her ability to blend Eastern and Western melodies is both enchanting and refreshing. She performs as both a solo artist and a member of her orchestra, the "Pan-Asian Intercultural Ensemble."
In addition to her medical and musical talents, she is fluent in five languages. With her original compositions and distinctive musical style, she is on a promising path to becoming one of the greatest musicians and sitar players in history. Currently, she proudly imparts her knowledge of music and sitar to her students. She actively contributes to enriching the community through the dental field, multilingual translation, and cultural orientation for new immigrants. Her accomplishments are frequently celebrated through interviews in the news.

Catch Loop Step-Grandad- Improv DJ and Comedy
Ever wonder what happens when a looping wizard, an improv comedian, and a step-granddad with questionable fashion sense collide on stage? Meet Loop Step-Granddad, a live, fully interactive show blending spontaneous music, audience-driven loops, comedy, and danceable melodic chaos inside the Zanzabar Arcade at Logan Street Market.
Armed with a keyboard, a microphone, and no plan whatsoever, Loop Step-Granddad mashes loops and samples to create songs in real-time. Play some pinball, pick up some grub from lots of options throughout the market and provide suggestions to craft ridiculous songs and remixed absurdity on the spot. One moment, you’re grooving to a funky synth jam—next thing you know, you’re in a full-blown gospel rave about gas station hot dogs. It’s unpredictable, it’s hilarious, and it’s “allegedly” a good time.
