Head Brewer, Wild Hops
While enrolled at the University of Louisville Maggie took an internship that would forever change her life. What started as a marketing job at Gordon Biersch quickly turned into her showing up to help out in the brewery any chance she got. Her love for working hands on to create something others could enjoy encouraged her to learn everything she could about making beer. After working six months as the “Marketing Intern” Gordon Biersch offered Maggie an assistant brewing position. For the next four years she mastered the processes of brewing traditional German-style beers. Her eagerness and curiosity for brewing did not stop there. While brewing at Gordon Biersch, Maggie took a part-time job working at 3rd Turn Brewing. It was there she was able to experience the nonconventional side of the beer market, using fruits and even doughnuts in beer recipes. Maggie’s combination of respect for tradition and enthusiasm to push boundaries is what excites us here at Wild Hops. Be on the lookout for what Maggie and Wild Hops are bringing to Louisville’s craft beer market. Cheers!
