Owen & Mae Watercolor Class

Hi, my name is Hanna, and I grew up on a farm in the midwest surrounded by nature. My earliest memories are of exploring the farm, roaming woods and streams, and drawing everything I could find. I love to travel and spend as much time outdoors as possible, and am always looking for inspiration while traveling and being outdoors. I am largely a self taught artist and have experimented with many mediums including oil, acrylic, and watercolor. I’ve been painting with watercolor for the past 9 years and I LOVE it and I know you will too. Besides being in nature and traveling, teaching art is something that brings me great satisfaction. There is nothing quite like seeing someone’s face light up when they discover the joy of creating and learning something new. I’m passionate about helping people no matter where they are in their creative journey and I hope you will join me and open yourself to possibilities. Class Description: Women’s History Month Floral Watercolor Class Celebrate women and all of the things that make us so special and learn how to paint some beautiful flowers at the same time! Flowers have long been associated with special meanings and in this 2 and a half hour class, we will learn how to paint flowers that represent the qualities of women that we are celebrating this month: Courage, Resilience, and Passion. You will learn all about the basics of watercolor supplies, color mixing, consistency, and techniques. We will walk through some basic techniques and learn about how to create different shapes, leaves, and floral elements. Then we will learn how to paint some flowers with special symbolism to help us celebrate women! This class is perfect for beginners and for anyone who has tried painting before and gotten scared or discouraged. My style is very laid back and you don’t have to worry about being perfect or “getting it right”. All materials are provided for you, so just bring your happy self. Come join me for a fun night out and let yourself relax and enjoy learning something new!
